Four sailing boat ranges are recorded: Oysterman 16 and Oysterman 22 from the years 1979 to 2000 as well as Oystercatcher 16 and Oystercatcher 20, built from 1991 to 2000. Production is finished, and the portfolio consists of used boats. That makes no difference to acceptance, because we insure regardless of the year of construction.
With sailing boats the sail area takes the place of the engine power. Together with the type of boat, value, year of construction and cruising range it produces the premium, while the brand name stays out of it. Club races are included from Basis-Plus upwards, and races with scoring status are registered when you take out the policy.
Small sailing boats are trailered and launched down the ramp. The trailer is included at no extra premium, and the cover applies during craning, launching, in winter storage and on the transport route. The full hull cover additionally covers collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts.
