Neo Yachts & Composites is an Italian yard for fast sailing yachts, founded by Paolo Semeraro, an engineer from Bari and former Olympic sailor. Production stays in Italy, with carbon composite construction and structural composite interiors. The Neo 350 was drawn by Giovanni Ceccarelli for ORC racing, its hull and deck vacuum infused in foam sandwich with epoxy, and a show report credits Shaun Carkeek with the Neo 570 C. With the Neo 410 Cat and Neo 560 Cat the yard has moved into catamarans. The names are simple: Neo and a three digit number, with Cat added for the multihulls.
Our records list nine Neo models, seven sailing yachts and two sailing catamarans. The first build years date from 2016, with the Neo 350 and Neo 400+. Six lines run into the latest years: the 350, 410 Cat, 430, 515, 560 Cat and 570. Three have closed, the Neo 470 (2017 to 2021), the 400+ (2016 to 2022) and the 430 Roma (2021 to 2025). Lengths run from 10.8 metres for the Neo 350 to 17.5 metres for the Neo 570, with the catamarans at 12.48 and 17.02 metres.
A Neo is built light and stiff, and that shapes how it is kept. Carbon and foam sandwich laminates want a yard that knows composites when something needs fixing, and the rig and racing sails deserve regular inspection. Many owners split the season between club races and fast coastal passages; a lift out between events keeps the bottom smooth, and a dry berth over winter protects the laminate.
