Sevylor builds inflatable kayaks and inflatable boats in the entry-level segment and is widely available in DIY stores and sports shops, boats with values in the low three-figure range that are used above all on lakes and calm rivers. For insurance they are the case in which hull insurance makes no economic sense.
Personal accident cover is the sensible product for these boats. It applies to injuries on board, when getting on and off and when capsizing, risks that are independent of the value of the boat. With family use it covers first-degree family members from Basis-Plus and all authorised persons on board in Premium. That costs a low two-figure amount per year and covers the case that is most likely to occur with a leisure boat.
We do not write boat third-party liability for muscle-powered craft. Check your private liability insurance for the inclusion of watercraft; with a PVC kayak on a busy bathing lake that is the relevant point. Also pay attention to the local rules: on some waters the use of leisure boats is restricted or permitted only in designated areas.

Sevylor Caravelle / Tahiti (classic) is an inflatable without engine from Sevylor (France),
