Context
How training works in Slovenia
Slovenia has 46 kilometres of coast and a training regulation of its own. Examinations are held by the maritime administration in Koper; teaching happens in Portorož, Izola and Piran, and through schools from Italy and Austria that organise the examination alongside.
For visitors the position is simple: come with a recognised certificate and a radio ticket and you may go. Most people sail on into Croatia from here, and that is a border on the water, with formalities, best settled before you slip the lines.
