Berths, season and winter storage
The season runs from April to October, interrupted by the maintenance closures. Berths are available in the middle price band. Frost is rare but possible, so ashore storage is common. If you winter afloat, still drain the water lines and the cooling circuit.

Over ninety locks in one season: what does that mean for the deductible?
Every claim carries the agreed deductible on its own. Three small knocks in narrow chambers therefore cost three deductibles, not one. On this route a low deductible often works out better than it would on a lake.
Are rudder and propeller covered after a grounding?
From Basis-Plus they are: running aground is named there as an accident event, and consequential damage to the drive belongs with it. Report the grounding even when nothing looks damaged, because the inspection costs are then covered, up to 500 euros in Basis-Plus and without a cap in Premium. The partial hull cover of the Basis tariff does not include this.
What if the superstructure hits a low bridge?
Collision with a fixed object is covered from Basis-Plus. Checking the clearance stays your job: where gross negligence is argued we waive any reduction up to 25 per cent of the sum insured in Basis-Plus and up to 50 per cent in Premium.
