Cruising area · European Atlantic coast
Galician Rías
The Rías Baixas are deep inlets with good anchorages and calm water. Outside lies the Atlantic with a long swell, and fog is frequent off Cape Finisterre, together with dense commercial traffic on the approach routes. Inside the rías the mussel rafts are the issue: they are marked with buoys and floats, but hard to see at night.
