What happens if I run aground outside the marked channel?
From Basis-Plus running aground is covered as an accident event; the Basis tariff, a partial hull cover, does not include it. The shores here are stony in many places, so report any contact even when nothing looks damaged. The inspection costs are then covered, up to 500 euros in Basis-Plus and without a cap in Premium.
How should I think about high water at the berth?
High water is not a named peril; what counts is what actually happens. Breaking loose, drifting off and sinking are accident events and covered from Basis-Plus. On the Shannon rising water is a regular event, so lines with slack are not caution here, they are equipment.
