Tahiti
Papeete is the only place in French Polynesia with complete yard and supply infrastructure. The lagoons of Tahiti and Moorea are protected by reefs; the passes through them run against the stream on the ebb and are then difficult. From November to April there is cyclone risk, even though French Polynesia is hit less often than Fiji or Vanuatu.

Berths, season and winter storage
The main season is May to September with berths in the upper price band. Many boats stay through the cyclone season in Papeete or Raiatea, where sheltered berths and ashore storage exist. Spare parts come from France and take time.
What this means for your policy
Tahiti belongs to the cruising range for the Pacific and South Seas. What matters is how your policy handles the cyclone season: whether there is an exclusion, whether a sheltered berth is required and whether a securing measure is paid on an official warning.
