Whether a boat stays on inland waters or goes to the coast is one of the details from which the premium is derived. Around 38 ranges are recorded under Nordic, among them the Arctic Blue models as inflatable boats with an engine and the Nordic Ocean Craft 14 motor boat. Where the boat is used belongs in the policy.
The Arctic Blue 27 IB has been in production since 1999, the remaining Arctic Blue ranges since 2010, the Ocean Craft 14 since 2012, all of them to this day. With build periods this long, very different years of construction come together, and the agreed value in full hull cover fixes the value of the individual boat.
No details are available on country, size and segment. Hull cover applies with no time window and no night clause, and also in winter storage, during craning, launching and while in transit. Theft of parts including the outboard is included in full hull cover.

Frequent questions
Does the premium change if you move to the sea?
The cruising range is a premium factor, which is why it is defined when the policy is taken out. If it changes later, the policy should be adjusted so that cover matches the waters used.
Does cover also apply on trips abroad?
Yes, and the international certificate of insurance is issued automatically in ten languages. The agreed cruising range remains the framework of the cover.

Licence
A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On an inflatable the cause decides, not the damage: a tear from impact is covered, porous fabric after years in the sun is not. The outboard belongs in the policy with its serial number.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
