Full hull cover includes collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard; limited hull cover includes fire, storm, lightning strike, theft of the entire boat and damage in winter storage. The premium follows the value, the year of construction, the engine power and the cruising range.

Frequent questions
What does indemnity with no deduction for depreciation (new for old) mean?
In the event of a claim we deduct no age-related discount from the repair or replacement costs. The basis is the agreed value fixed in advance, in the Premium tariff with no age limit.
What do I do with a boat that has no clear manufacturer data?
What counts for the policy is the type of boat, the value, the year of construction, the engine power and the cruising range. Small production runs and home-built boats can also be insured, regardless of what records exist about the manufacturer.

Even without an engine the rule holds: a tear from impact or vandalism is covered, UV ageing is wear.
On an inflatable the cause decides, not the damage: a tear from impact is covered, porous fabric after years in the sun is not. The outboard belongs in the policy with its serial number.
For a series of this age there is no list price left. That is why we work with an agreed value: you state the figure, we agree it, and in a total loss exactly that amount is paid, with no deduction for wear.
On boats this size the condition of rig and fittings decides. A dismasting is covered, worn terminals after years are not.
