We hold no model ranges for this brand. Neither a type of boat nor a production period is on file, and we add nothing here that cannot be substantiated. For the insurance this is no obstacle, because what counts is the data of your particular boat.

The premium is based on the type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power or sail area and cruising range, never on the brand. We insure irrespective of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, and small series and self-builds can be insured as well.

Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros forms the basis, joined by limited hull cover or full hull cover with an agreed value and indemnity with no deduction for depreciation ("new for old"). Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros you take out the policy online, above that we examine the individual case.

What should I do if no data is available for the brand?

For the application the details of your boat are enough: type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power or sail area and cruising range. Missing details about the brand make no difference to acceptance.

Can self-builds without a type designation be insured?

Yes. We accept small series and self-builds, irrespective of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. The value is agreed in the policy by means of an agreed value.

Licence

A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).

Registration

Registration from 3 hp; for trips abroad carry the boat certificate or flag document.

Waters

Inland, coastal and abroad; plan fairways, bridge clearances, draught and tides.

Equipment

Lifesaving gear, fire extinguisher, anchor, signalling equipment and correct navigation lights.

Cruising range

The agreed cruising range is stated in the policy and can be extended at any time.

Weather

Check wind force in Beaufort and wind direction before casting off, and allow for gusts.
