Two model ranges are recorded: an inflatable boat with an engine, the R630, built from 2022 to the present day, and a cabin catamaran, the 8.50, from the model years 2018 to 2022. If you cross the border with it, you receive the international certificate of insurance automatically in ten languages.

We do not have the country of origin or further details about the brand. This is of no significance for the contract, because we provide cover regardless of the year of construction, the place of purchase and previous owners. Small series and home-built boats can be insured as well, and third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros remains the basis.

An inflatable boat with an engine and a cabin catamaran place different demands on cover. In both cases, full hull cover includes collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard, with an agreed value and with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).

In which languages is the proof of cover for abroad available?

The international certificate of insurance is issued automatically in ten languages. You do not have to request it separately, it is part of the contract.

Does the outboard of an inflatable boat count as part of the hull cover?

Yes. Theft of parts including the outboard is part of full hull cover. Theft of the entire boat is already covered by limited hull cover.

A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).

Registration

What this means for the cover

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.

On an inflatable the cause decides, not the damage: a tear from impact is covered, porous fabric after years in the sun is not. The outboard belongs in the policy with its serial number.

For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.

On catamarans the bridgedeck between the hulls is the sensitive part, and the berth belongs in the application: double width often means a mooring rather than a marina.
