A change of insurer often fails because of the cancellation of the previous contract. NAMMERT takes care of that free of charge. For boats from this manufacturer of motor boats and sports boats, whose ranges such as Monza, Bormes or Mandelieu were built between 1968 and 1990, the change is therefore a mere formality.
Eighteen recorded model ranges mean a broad field of motor boats whose production lies in the past. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. In the Premium tariff, the full hull cover applies with no age limit, with an agreed value and compensation with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
For the premium, type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range count, never the name of the yard. Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros can be chosen in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels, supplemented by limited hull cover or full hull cover.

Do I have to cancel my old contract myself?
No. Through the switching service, NAMMERT cancels the previous contract free of charge. You provide the data of your boat, we take care of the rest of the changeover.
Can a motor boat from the nineteen seventies still be insured?
Yes. Year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners play no part in insurability. In the Premium tariff, the full hull cover even applies with no age limit, with an agreed value.

On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
On sailing yachts the rig and the underwater hull are the expensive parts: a dismasting quickly costs a quarter of the boat, and osmosis counts as wear and is covered by no hull policy.
