No model ranges for Goldenship are recorded in our documentation. Neither build periods nor types of boat are available, and we do not add anything here that cannot be substantiated. A quotation does not depend on this, because it is always the individual boat that is insured.

The calculation is based on type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power or sail area, and cruising range. The brand plays no part. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the policy is taken out online, above that we assess the individual case and prepare a quotation.

Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros is available in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels. Full hull cover works with an agreed value and settles with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff with no age limit. Cover also applies in winter storage and during craning.

Is the model designation enough for a quotation?

We need the key data of the boat: type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power or sail area, and cruising range. A recorded model range is not required for this.

What happens above a sum insured of 2.5 million euros?

Online purchase then ends and an individual assessment follows. The scope of cover remains the same, acceptance is assessed individually.

A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).

Registration

Registration from 3 hp; for trips abroad carry the boat certificate or flag document.

Waters

Inland, coastal and abroad; plan fairways, bridge clearances, draught and tides.

Equipment

Lifesaving gear, fire extinguisher, anchor, signalling equipment and correct navigation lights.

Cruising range

The agreed cruising range is stated in the policy and can be extended at any time.

Weather

Check wind force in Beaufort and wind direction before casting off, and allow for gusts.
