We have no model ranges on record for Lachmann: neither production periods nor details of type of boat, size or country. For the insurance of your boat this has no consequences, because third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros stands at the beginning of every contract.

The premium arises from the details of your boat: type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power or sail area and cruising range. The brand itself does not enter the calculation. Small production runs and home-built boats can be insured as well, as can boats without a documented model range.

On top of third-party liability you add limited hull cover or full hull cover. Full hull cover is calculated with an agreed value and with no deduction for depreciation (new for old) and covers collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros you take out the policy online.

Which tariff levels are available?

Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium. They differ in the limit of indemnity from 10 to 50 million euros and in the scope of hull cover, for example in the age limit under full hull cover.

A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).

Lifesaving gear, fire extinguisher, anchor, signalling equipment and correct navigation lights.
