Three motorboat model ranges are recorded, the Jasmijnsloep 6.50 as well as Koudummer Opduwer and Sloep Classic, with years of build between 1998 and 2014. The details given when taking out the policy include the cruising range, that is, whether you are travelling on inland waters or on the coast.

The premium results from the cruising range, the type of boat, the value, the year of build and the engine power. The brand does not enter into it. We have no further information about the yard, and it is not needed for the insurance either. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros you take out the policy online.

Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros forms the basis. Full hull cover adds collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard and settles on the basis of an agreed value with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). Limited hull cover includes fire, storm, lightning strike and theft of the entire boat.

Does the cruising area have to be stated when taking out the policy?

Yes. The cruising range is one of the factors of the premium, alongside type of boat, value, year of build and engine power. A distinction is made between inland waters and the coast.

Does cover also apply outside the water?

Yes. It continues in winter storage, during craning, during launching and on the transport route. A boat trailer is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium.
