Anyone taking over a used boat should align the sum insured with the replacement value. The list contains 19 model ranges built from 2014 to the present day, among them the Safter 260, 350, 400 and 480. The amount agreed is recorded as an agreed value and compensated with no deduction for depreciation (new for old).
No type of boat is stored for the brand; the individual ranges are recorded as motor boats. What counts for the policy are the details of the particular boat: type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range, never the brand. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros, cover is taken out online.
Legal expenses cover for water sports can be added and applies to disputes following the purchase of a used boat or with a shipyard. If you switch from another provider, NAMMERT cancels the previous policy free of charge, so that the new cover follows on from the existing one.
