Worth knowing
Seatec; cover, cost and conditions
No model ranges are recorded for Seatec. Neither types of boat nor construction periods are available, and we do not add anything that is not documented. In any case it is the individual boat that is insured: the type of boat, the value, the year of construction, the engine output or sail area and the cruising range determine the premium.
The core is third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros, selectable in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels. Limited hull cover and full hull cover build on this, the latter with an agreed value and with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), in the Premium tariff without any age limit.
Small series and home-built boats are insurable as well, as are boats regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners. Up to a sum insured of 2.5 million euros the online policy is possible; above that we assess the individual case. We cancel an existing previous policy free of charge.
Questions and answers
Frequent questions
Can a boat be insured if no shipyard data is available?
Yes. What matters are the details of the boat itself: the type of boat, the value, the year of construction, the engine output or sail area and the cruising range. Missing catalogue data on the brand is no obstacle.
Which tariff levels are there?
Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium. Third-party liability ranges from a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros, club races are included from Basis-Plus, and in the Premium tariff the age limit in full hull cover does not apply.
The cover that fits
For the whole class of boat
What matters for your boat depends less on the brand than on engine output, how a claim is settled and the waters you sail.
