Ten model ranges carry the abbreviation TS, from the TS 550 through the TS 765 to the TS 1000 and TS 1220, built since 2012 and to this day. The smaller models are recorded as motorboats, the TS 1000 as a motor yacht. The premium follows the data of the individual boat.
If the boat is trailered, the trailer is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium and a separate contract is not needed. Cover applies in transit, when launching and when craning, and likewise during winter storage between two seasons. There, limited hull cover includes fire, storm and lightning strike.
The calculation is based on the type of boat, the value, the year of construction, the engine power and the cruising range. Full hull cover works with an agreed value and pays out with no deduction for depreciation (new for old), supplemented by collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts. In the Premium tariff the agreed value applies with no age limit.

Is transport to the water covered as well?
Yes. Cover applies in transit as well as when launching and craning. The boat trailer itself is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium.
Is a larger model treated differently from a small one?
The criteria are the same: type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range. Larger boats lead to a different premium through value and power, not through the model name.

Licence

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
