Fifty model ranges are recorded, among them the Tornado 5.4, the Tornado 6 and the HP models from 5.8 to 11m, whose entries begin in 2008 and run to the present day. The recorded ranges are inflatable boats with engines, and the manufacturer is committed to inflatables and RIBs.
NAMMERT insures regardless of the year of construction, where the boat was bought and previous owners; small series and home-built boats can be insured as well. The premium is based on the type of boat, the value, the year of construction, the engine output and the cruising range, never on the brand. Above all this stands the third-party liability cover with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros.
The full hull cover covers collision, grounding, vandalism and theft of parts including the outboard, and pays compensation on the agreed value with no deduction for depreciation (new for old). The boat trailer is included at no extra premium, and the cover applies during launching, during craning and while in transit.

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On an inflatable the cause decides, not the damage: a tear from impact is covered, porous fabric after years in the sun is not. The outboard belongs in the policy with its serial number.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
