Five model ranges of sailing boats are recorded: the Ziegelmayer 420er since 1999 and up to the present day, the Ziegelmayer 470 from 2003 to 2019, the Ziegelmayer Opti from 1997 to 2019, the Teeny from 2004 to 2022 and the SZ 420 Race model from 1995 to 2008. For the premium, type of boat, value, year of construction, sail area and cruising range count.
Boats of these model ranges often come to the water on a trailer. The boat trailer is included in the boat insurance at no extra premium, and cover applies during launching, during craning, in winter storage and on the road. Cover therefore does not end at the jetty but accompanies the boat through the whole season.
Club races are included from the Basis-Plus level onwards, and races with official scoring status should be declared when you take out the policy. Third-party liability with a limit of indemnity of 10 to 50 million euros forms the basis in the Basis, Basis-Plus and Premium levels, and full hull cover pays on the agreed value with no deduction for depreciation.

How is a Ziegelmayer 420er covered when racing?
Club races are part of the cover from Basis-Plus onwards. Races with official scoring status should be declared when you take out the policy, so that the contract fits and hull cover remains in place.
Can a boat with the year of construction 1995 still be insured?
Yes. We insure regardless of year of construction, place of purchase and previous owners, and small production runs and home-built boats can be insured as well. Under full hull cover compensation is paid on the agreed value with no deduction for depreciation.
