Forty-eight recorded model ranges map out a widely spread programme, from the Laver 23 X through the 30 GT and 40 GT to the Avantgarde 35 and the Soleil 20 as an inflatable boat with an engine. The same framework applies to every one of these designs: third-party liability as the basis, hull cover as chosen.
On inflatable boats with an engine such as the Soleil 20, the drive sits on the transom. Theft of parts including the outboard belongs to full hull cover, as do collision, grounding and vandalism. Theft of the entire boat is already covered by limited hull cover.
Build periods from 2012 to the present day mean both young boats and boats with a decade of use behind them. The agreed value in full hull cover and the waiver of the deduction for depreciation apply to both, in the Premium tariff without an age limit. The premium is never based on the brand.

Frequent questions
Does the size of the model programme make a difference?
No. It is always the individual boat that is insured. Type of boat, value, year of construction, engine power and cruising range determine the premium, the number of model ranges of a yard plays no part.
Can inflatable boats with an engine and motor yachts be insured in the same way?
We take both designs into cover. Differences arise in the calculation of the premium through type of boat, value and engine power, not in access to the protection.

Licence
A powerboat licence (inland or coastal) is required from 15 hp (11.03 kW).

As the series is still in production, parts are available and repair costs are predictable. Even so, value it at replacement cost including retrofitted electronics, not at list price.
On a motorboat the drive is the single most valuable part. Damage after grounding is covered, an engine failure from wear is not.
On motor yachts the drive and the electronics together make up about half the value. Both belong in the valuation, otherwise the sum insured is too low.
On an inflatable the cause decides, not the damage: a tear from impact is covered, porous fabric after years in the sun is not. The outboard belongs in the policy with its serial number.
For a series built in these years the market value and the replacement cost often differ widely. An agreed value removes the age-based scale, and the figure in the policy stands.
